Karina Rodriguez Echavarria is a Professor of Visual Computing at the University of Brighton, where she leads research at the intersection of computing technologies and cultural heritage, with a focus on 3D digitisation, digital collections, and knowledge management. She is Editor-in-Chief of the ACM Journal of Computing and Cultural Heritage and chairs the Eurographics Steering Committee for Graphics and Cultural Heritage, reflecting her prominent role in the international research community. Through UKRI-AHRC-funded projects, she collaborates with museums, heritage institutions and higher education institutions to empower arts and humanities practitioners with digital skills and innovative tools.
